98 EUCLID SUSPENSION FIELD MANUAL HEIGHT CONTROL VALVE SELECTION PROCESS Three steps are required to determine the proper valve: Step 1: Determine if a dump valve is required, Step 2: Select the valve manufacturer and model and Step 3: Choose the proper arm length, mounting style and brackets. STEP 1 – DETERMINE THE TYPE OF VALVE THAT IS REQUIRED. DOES THE HCV ALSO NEED TO DUMP AIR TO THE AIR SPRINGS WHEN EITHER: A. An actuation button is pushed on the dash or in some other location. B. The air is removed from the brake system thereby locking the spring brakes. IS A DUMP STYLE VALVE REQUIRED? Does the HCV dump air to the air springs when an actuation button is pushed on the dash or in some other location? A "Dump when air is applied" HCV is required. Does the HCV dump air to the air springs when air is removed from the brake system thereby locking the spring brakes? A "Dump when air is removed" HCV is required. A " No Dump" HCV is required.
